MARTIN® Spring and Air Tensioners

Tensioning systems supply the pressure required to hold the cleaning edge against a moving belt to remove residual material. Martin Engineering Tensioners for Belt Cleaning / Belt Scraping Systems are engineered to supply the effective cleaning pressure while minimizing the need for adjustment.

Tensioners Available for Pre-Cleaner and Secondary Cleaner Applications

Pre-Cleaner Tensioners

  • Shallow Shock Mount Tensioners include air and spring models. Shock Mount Tensioners include air and water models.

Secondary Cleaner Tensioners

  • Adjustable "L" Bracket Tensioners include air and spring models. Flange Mount Tensioners include air, spring and water models. Shock (Ring) Mount Tensioners include air and spring models.

Air Tensioners for Belt Cleaning Systems

MARTIN® Air Tensioners use the resilience of an air spring to cushion impact.

Spring Tensioners for Belt Cleaning Systems

MARTIN® Spring Tensioners maintain efficient belt cleaning with a rugged coil spring.

Dual Tensioning

It is recommended that belt cleaners installed on belts wider than 48 inches (1200 mm) be equipped with dual tensioner systems.
